Filler silos: these consist of two silos which are designed to sit one above the other. They are mainly used in asphalt mixing plants and are used to store different types of filler. The imported filler silo sits, as a rule, on top and is filled pneumatically from a lorry. Discharge at the silo outlet is via screw conveyors directly to the weighing mechanism. The reclaim filler silo at the bottom is filled with the filter dust arising. The reclaimed filler can be re-introduced via screw conveyor and bucket elevators to the mixing plant. Filler silos usually have a diameter of 2,900 mm to 3,800 mm. However, larger diameters with a greater volume are also possible. All components such as filters, overflow protection, inspection facilities and discharge equipment also form part of the KURZ range.
Modifications
- Design with various cone inclinations (standard 54°)
- Silos with extended substructure and intermediate platform
- Partition in single or double shell design
- Multi-chamber silos
- Breeches-type outlets for multi-chamber silos
- Skirted silos with door
Industries for filler silos
- Cement & filler
- Asphalt
Benefits
- Top and bottom silo are connected – material from the top silo can be discharged into the bottom silo
- Discharge from the top silo via screw conveyor directly into the mixing plant
- Space saving
- Flexibility in silo equipment
- Short delivery times
