The silos of the new wastewater treatment reactor have several sedimentation plates at different levels. Particles suspended in the water/slurry mixture settle on these. The effectiveness of sedimentation is measured via slurry test pipes and the dosage of sedimentation accelerators is determined from this. The slurry is pulled off the plates by scraper arms on a rotating shaft and falls into the cone for discharge. Homogenising rakes are used to prevent slurry from compacting in the cone. The slurry is discharged via a discharge pot. The residual water is stored in buffer silos and used for concrete production. | ||
